And you used to think The Who sucked...

After posting this it made an easy choice for what to listen at work today.

Dude. 2F2F better than BA? hmmmm sounds like someone just wanted a testosterone boost. Most folks I know who didn't like Bruce Almighty really went in expecting Jim Carrey of Dumb and Dumber or Ace Ventura. He's growing and maturing as an actor. This movie had a point, and a moral, and good acting...which is more than I can say for most crap out there.

Good acting? Sorry Leanne, but Jim Carrey was horrible in it. He over acted the part and annoyed the crap out of me. I was dissapointed, I was ready to like him again after his time off. If you want to see him as a more mature actor, rent The Truman Show. Bruce Almighty just showed him trying too hard to be funny, instead of just letting it flow.

I gotta go with Carrie here, Leanne. 2F2F was only "good" *because* it was so stupid. One of those "my god, I can't believe they actually made that" movies.

I *hate* Jim Carrey when he's "on". I didn't mind him in the Truman Show, though. I wouldn't have minded him here, but the whole, oh, say, second half of the movie just fell flat.

BTW, Leanne, are you in Cleveland now?

[Jun 17, 12:32] Amy [e-mail]
I thought Bruce Almighty started off funny, and just went blah! The concept of the movie was interesting. I think I went into it, expecting it to be more like Liar Liar.. I was disapointed with it.

[Jun 17, 23:38] Erin
Yay, no more Sears!

[Jun 18, 00:58] Leanne
No Cleveland yet. I'll be there on the 29th, though!

I stand by my liking of the movie...the theological undercurrent of it is what pulled me in and held me.

Now, why did Amy not call me up when she was here for the Dixie Chicks? :-)

[Jun 18, 07:50] Luke [e-mail]
Probably because she was only in Chicago just long enough to see them and leave;-)

You never responded to my e-mail! :-(

[Jun 18, 08:19] Amy [e-mail]
Sorry Leanne, I was in Chicago in time to see the concert and the minute it was over I was gone. I didn't even know I was going till the day of the concert.
