Most folks I know who didn't like Bruce Almighty really went in expecting Jim Carrey of Dumb and Dumber or Ace Ventura. He's growing and maturing as an actor. This movie had a point, and a moral, and good acting...which is more than I can say for most crap out there.

I was dissapointed, I was ready to like him again after his time off. If you want to see him as a more mature actor, rent The Truman Show. Bruce Almighty just showed him trying too hard to be funny, instead of just letting it flow.

I *hate* Jim Carrey when he's "on". I didn't mind him in the Truman Show, though. I wouldn't have minded him here, but the whole, oh, say, second half of the movie just fell flat.
BTW, Leanne, are you in Cleveland now?
[Jun 17, 12:32]Amy [e-mail] I thought Bruce Almighty started off funny, and just went blah! The concept of the movie was interesting. I think I went into it, expecting it to be more like Liar Liar.. I was disapointed with it.
