Southwest is OK if you are:

A) On a short flight B) On a flight that you know won't be too busy

An alternative to A is to fight and claw your way to being the first person in the 'A' boarding line so that you can get an exit row seat.

I'm fine with them since I signed up for their frequent flyer program this spring and I already have a free round trip ticket. I've been with America West and I only have a free ticket to a "short hop" destination. Realistically Denver is the farthest I can go...

I hate southwest i hate southwest i hate southwest. Come to think of it, I hate anything that is not Midwest. American and United I can kinda of stand. I refuse to fly Northwest.

Hmm, I've had good luck with Northwest so far.

So I guess I missed something...what's the deal with you and Mike?

We have ceased communication. Last I heard he's moving to Chicago, Minneapolis, or Madison. If he does, he'll probably play online for a living. Good luck to him on that.

Ahh, lovely.

I always remark when people are bitchy on the show "Dude, your flying southwest what did you expect!"

[Sep 3, 17:48] Moneypenny [e-mail]
well whaddaya know, I just upgraded MT from 3.01 to 3.1. No hassle! w00t!

[Sep 4, 08:43] Alandovos
Well I haven't had problems on SW with PHX->ABQ or PHX->SAN but those are short enough that I consider them safe.

American can lick my balls for how shitty they've been to us. Don't forget that they merged with TWA...

[Sep 4, 11:28] Moneypenny
Yeah, American isn't awesome, but they have the legroom that feels good when you're flying ORD->SFO.

Southwest Airlines has not had any passenger fatalities since it began service back in 1971. That's a pretty good run, isn't it?

[Sep 8, 10:14] Moneypenny
I don't typically choose my airline based on how many people they killed over the last 33 years. I'm more concerned with the price:luxury ratio.

[Sep 8, 12:47] Alandovos
Fuck luxury, I'm only looking price (assuming a flight

less than 3 hours... damn HTML!!!

[Sep 8, 19:14] Moneypenny [e-mail]
OK, I'll revise my last statement: In the order of things that concern me when booking a flight, the number of fatalities on the airline over the past 33 years ranks between whether the CEO was born in or out of wedlock and how much vacation time the baggage handlers accrue after working for 5 years.
