I can't let this one fly without at least some comment. I was pretty much in the same boat as Luke; I loved the Brewers in my younger days and then as, year after year, they slid down in the standings my interest waned.

Then in college my friends were getting to games more and more and more and I started to go with. Not only did my interest in the Brewers spark again, but my interest in the game itself started to rise again. After the strike I wanted nothing to do with baseball, but by 2000-2001 I was watching highlights on SC and following pennant races for first time in a long time.

As a Brewers fan, I just gotta say that this years team is a great improvement over the last few years (hell, when was the last time that the Crew was over .500 at this point in the season). There won't be any division titles or world series rings this year, but if they keep improving that's all it takes to keep me as a fan.

ps-- When I first moved to Cali, my barometer for when to move back to Wisco was when I could afford to buy season tickets to the Brewers games every year. I'm still not there, yet.

Here's my comment this time around....

Don't follow baseball whatsoever so it never was exciting in the first place (at least to me)...

Now football on the otherhand...I will admit growing up that I didn't follow much of it at all, heck I didn't even understand the game..then college changed all that...I can survive if I miss a Packer game (although there is much pissing and moaning about it). We'll see what this season brings...
