Ok. Two questions:

- what about updates? Is it a continual process? Or are there "releases" every few months. Do you have to do any type of re-install to update, or is it just a package here and there?

- how does it compare to OpenBSD and NetBSD?

Debian seems like a great idea on paper, but actually using it has left me with a less than great impression. The installer is worse than I ever could have imagined, hardware auto-detection is apparently nonexistent, and dselect, while a great idea, is buggy as hell.

Has anyone tried migrating from Linux to BSD?
